Laura Unuk

Laura Unuk is the best Slovenian woman chess player. At the age of 13, she won the title of national member champion. She is a two-time world junior champion in the under-16 (2014) and under-18 (2017) categories. In 2014, she received the Bloudek Plaque for a significant competitive achievement in sports. In total, she won 10 medals at the European and World Junior Championships. She achieved the title of Woman Grandmaster in 2018 and the title of International Master in 2021. Since 2013, she has been playing for the Slovenian women’s national team, with which she has 3 Olympic appearances.
